When combined, these nutrients may synergistically help build resistance to metabolic, oxidative, physiological, biochemical, physical, emotional, environmental, immune, Central Nervous and neurological stress and imbalance in your pet's body systems. Used holistically for its natural plant chemical content to help nourish your pet's endocrine system, responsible for the production and maintenance of hormones charged with supporting every body system, including cells, tissues and organs.
Dog & Cat Kryptonite is used holistically to help deliver vital nutrition to organs which are charged with supporting adrenal and hypothalamic-pituitary adrenal (HPA) function; to help balance adrenal function when imbalance is present; to help rebuild and regenerate glands; to help restore proper metabolic function, and potentially to bypass diseases caused by metabolic dysfunction such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular, Cushing's and Addison's disease.
Dog & Cat Kryptonite contains an adaptogenic herb called maca, which has been studied extensively for its vital role in helping improve resistance to stress and for disease prevention; may help promote glandular balance (adrenal, thyroid, pituitary and pineal glands); its natural phytochemical base may help prevent or bypass thyroid and glandular dysfunction; may help fight infection in the body; and due to its phosphatidyl serine content, it may also provide neuro-protective (brain, cognitive) benefits from free radical damage, important in supporting brain health including mental focus, concentration, alertness and mental acuity for dogs and cats.
The natural plant chemicals contained in this botanical wonder are impressive and does an animal body good. Dog & Cat Kryptonite contains Maca, which has been recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a super food. Maca is also designated as a super food level one herbal adaptogen, which works intrinsically and synergistically with the animal body to identify and manage metabolic stress. Maca has also been qualified as a functional food due to its nutritive content which nourishes the endocrine, cardiovascular, digestive, reproductive, circulatory and excretory systems; as well as may act a general disease preventative.
It is also used in the holistic treatment of Alzheimer's disease and Cognitive Disorder (sometimes incorrectly referred to as dog and cat dementia.) The brain supportive aspect may be particularly useful for pets with Lyme disease as Dog & Cat Kryptonite's plant constituents provide blood-brain barrier protection, which is critical when Lyme disease presents as it helps prevent unhealthy cells from attacking healthy brain tissue. (* As recommended by holistic veterinarians for use under a traditional medical system)
Dog & Cat Kryptonite may also help to deliver plant nutrients to help energize and balance the endocrine system; functions as a phytoestrogen to help balance hormones and may help regulate electrolyte balance, which are both critical in cases such as Cushing's disease; may function as an adjunctive to Cushing's disease (also called hyperadrenocorticism and sometimes referred to as hyperthyroidism); including Pituitary-dependent hyperadrenocorticism (PDH) and Adrenal-dependent hyperadrenocorticism (ADH); . (* As recommended by holistic veterinarians for use under a traditional medical system)
It is also used holistically and may help address symptoms related to stress, fatigue and debility; may help stabilize cortisol levels, especially important in cases of excess cortisol; may help manage symptoms related to Cushing's disease, including thirst, urination and panting; may help address rashes, scabs, flaking skin and susceptibility to infection. Interestingly, Maca is an adaptogen and may be used adjunctively for Addison’s disease; (sometimes called chronic adrenal insufficiency, or hypocortisolism). Did you know adaptogens function as "body readers" which may help to correct and to repair dysfunction present in the adrenal glands and may help correct low cortisol production. (* As recommended by holistic veterinarians for use under a traditional medical system)
Dog & Cat Kryptonite contains protein, enzymes, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, fats and natural hormones which may help address anemia; alkaloid, vitamin and mineral content which may help support bone mass and is used holistically for osteoporosis, Degenerative Joint Disease and rheumatism. Natural plant chemicals may help provide pain relief for back and muscle aches; may help diabetic animals by balancing blood sugar levels; may improve pancreatic function; may reduce insulin fluctuation and is used holistically for hypoglycemia. (* As recommended by holistic veterinarians for use under a traditional medical system)
Finally, secondary plant chemicals may provide relief from Allergic Dermatitis; and may be useful in the holistic treatment of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV); Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD); as an immune support and adjunctive for Bordatella, Parvovirus and for distemper; may benefit animals diagnosed with vaccinosis; for its potential secondary support of epilepsy and for Helicobacter Pylori (H.
